Because it doesn't really unsync or unlink yahoo from Gmail. Im still receiving emails from yahoo on my gmail.

As mentioned in the comments, this removes the RECOVERY EMAIL, not the linking which adds all yahoo mail to the gmail interface. Too bad, because it would have been an easy fix, but it is NOT a fix for the issue. too bad.

Brother your video is excellent. I need your help. I had a yahoo email and Gmail accounts. somebody recommended to put the yahoo email together in the Gmail account but is not a good idea. Now I want to reverse it. I want to remove the yahoo email account from the Gmail account. I do not want to share any information on both accounts. Tellme if you have a video where you explain that or is this video?

Question - I had a yahoo address linked to a google account for a long time (without having a gmail), then when I set up a first/new gmail (for work), it automatically linked to my yahoo google to it. I did not want all the photos, docs etc associated with that yahoo account to be linked to the new work gmail. But I want to preserve all those photos and docs in a google account, will I still have access to them, if I delete the yahoo email address associated with the new gmail? I had set up the gmail for work related purposes and the yahoo account was a personal one and I don't want communication coming from that yahoo account to be coming from the gmail address that then became the primary one for that account. I am even happy to set up a new different gmail to be associated with the yahoo account, if google insists that I have a gmail... I just can't have the work gmail connected to the personal google account.... .yes, I know, I created quite a mess for myself. Do you have any advice?

THE REAL ANSWER TO: "How to unlink your yahoo account from gmail account?"

1. Go to >Gmail App< on your >phone<
2. Click on the >three bars< located on top left corner (might be different for other phone models)
3. Scroll all the way down until you find >Settings<
4. You will then find your yahoo account display on the bottom that is linked to your gmail account
5. Click on it then scroll all the way to the bottom until you find the Unlink button
