This switch now supports layer 3 hardware offload with the new mikrotik software... This will make a huge difference in routing performance, you need to review this again at this point

Could you review again now that it supports hardware offloading for layer 3? Would be interesting to see if it could route a few vlans

Do you have an affiliate link for where I can buy this?

With the number of ports on this switch it may be feasible for some to offload the routing functionality to a external router/firewall loaded with sfp++ ports then simply use vlans in the switch to segment the switch with each segment connected to a different router/firewall interface. Even PFSense in a PC with sufficient PCIe slots would do the trick! That is what I plan to do.

hi, can i use a gpon sfp and use this as router, i was planning to upgrade my router and also needed a 10gig setup for my nas, but my connection is 500MBps but on ipv6 website im able to utilize full 1GBps (hardware limitation), so hopping via sfp i can extact 2.5G or close, but i'm new to microtik, so basically frm my understanding if u switch to router os, u can do routing and with switchos it act as basic switch, am i corrcet with my understanding and also does this work, my isp allows custom modem so no restriction there

It would actually help, to show and discuss the features and config software on such switches. sure, the hardware is part of a decent review and very much welcomed, but as is, your video leaves much to be desired.

By the time you plug half the ports you might as well just get the CRS312

For that price you should instead save up for a used Cisco 3064, 48 10 gig sfp ports and 4 40gig qsfp+ ports
