I came here after being triggered by a Netflix series showing how virginity testing was done in old times. I got flashbacks to when I was raped and the man was looking for blood on the bed in order to confirm if it was my first time. I remember how shameful I felt because he made me feel so unworthy. I know the hymen is a myth because we women bleed from the onset of menstruation and so I know we have no lid or hymen, that it's only friction from not being well lubricated. Still, this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my life. I want to heal from the memories of my first time that was a rape.
