The Yazilikaya or Midas Monument is not a tomb facade, rather a gateway to the eternal. You find these "false doors" all over the planet and they have two distinct purposes; which are, to mark the location of where an angelic being appeared or a location believed to get you to those angelic beings. Both purposes signify an astrological or supernatural gateway. Thus, you are partially right, in that it deals with the aspect of death, because the supernatural is pertaining to the world after life, the realm of the dead, the halls of Valhalla, sort of speaking.

Mammoth cave is amazing, highly recommended it! We did a 5 hour hike, and were told we saw less than 1% of it.
