Duolingo Crown Level 5 complete in Portuguese Spanish language course 2021

It’s a reverse tree for me in Duolingo, even though I am not Spanish, but Hungarian 😊

Yes, but now this is the other way round: it is a ’revers-tree’ for me, because I am better at Spanish than in Portuguese.

My strategy in this Duolingo language course was to concentrate only on this language course. I slowly stopped using the copy-pasting to Google Translate, even though the difficult Perfect and Conditional grammars got on my nerve many times. I did not have any problem with these grammars in English, and, starting from this point of view, I decided to look at Conditional and Perfect grammars in Portuguese and Spanish as easy, too. At least, not hard and learnable, to be more realistic.

Portuguese and Spanish are kinda similar languages, so many times it was easy to translate from one to another, but it was also easy to mix the two languages and use a Spanish word in a Portuguese sentence. This meant making errors, but I also stopped testing out, so the frustration of making the third mistake right in the last sentence was gone as well.

I slowly came to realize that it is worth not to test out and avoid this type of frustration.
