I like that she was gentle with them, in light of their grief

JJ in good mood today with these cases. 🤣

Never co-sign for friends or family, unless you are ready to pay it off in the event that they default.

Why is JJ confused. That is exactly why lenders make you get a co-signer. They don’t want to waste time going after deadbeats, they go straight to the co-signer and their assets.

JJ was so calm and soft spoken in this case. Did she have a good lunch right before? Lol

Anyway I'm glad everyone was honest and had the correct paperwork and didn't make any lame excuses and it worked out as it should. I'm sorry for the loss of his wife and the struggle he had so young in life, but that's a lesson.... don't and don't co-sign for someone you aren't married to

I don't know why JJ doesn't know that when there is a cosigner on a loan, and the primary account holder defaults, the company will go after the cosigner. They won't garnish wages BECAUSE of the cosigner. This happened to me as a cosigner and one of my friends as well.

Proving the age old axiom, "No good deed goes unpunished".

Judge Judy is wrong. I've been a banker for 32 years. Bank's don't attach and can't attach to someone's salary. They will go to the cosigner first, because the primary defaulted.

I thought they always go after the co-signer before attaching anyone's salary. I mean isn't that the whole point of having someone co-sign? Thank goodness JJ got it in the end. If the Defendant hadn't admitted to ignoring the default papers, I'm not sure she would have awarded the Plaintiff anything.

The defendant looks like a vampire that skipped a few meals and needs to feed before sunrise.

He actually assumed that taking the vehicle back would wipe the slate clean, hence him just dropping it back off. 🤦🏽‍♀️

If not giving a rat’s behind was a person! This defendant… 🤦🏾‍♀️

I hope his second wife is taking a long hard look at the man she married. No scruples, no morals, not a "stand up guy" who will so easily and with no second thoughts about screwing over someone who put their own credit on the line to help them. But, then again, if she married him before he ditched the car and left her with the balance, then she knew what he was doing and went along with it.

But he wanted a f150! That’s the ultimate family car! Oh that and a motorcycle!

So basically he moved on and no longer needed her so he didn’t care about her credit ! Smh

Co-signing a loan gives someone else control of your credit rating. Better off to loan them the money outright.

I learned from JJ NEVER co-sign a car for anyone. Give them a down payment and don’t worry about getting the money back..❤❤❤😢😢😢
