Walgreens to shut down 1,200 stores

The pharmacy chain with 8,000 locations is making moves to cut costs

I was driving and saw 3 rite aids within 3 miles that were closing. Walgreens has similar spacing. You can't compete with yourself.

The prices on medical supplies and over the counter items is the biggest part of their down fall, then you have Walmart who has cheaper over the counter items.

The Walgreens closet to me is ALWAYS out of stock of the very same medication my son takes every month. Im constantly having the script transferred and finally just chose that transferred store. Once I did that, they were always rude. Never have it filled even though its a constant, even though the doctor prescribed 2-3 refills. They just dont do it. I will go online, where we have a Walgreens account, and it appears no one checks the online orders or something gets messed up.. I will call the pharmacy and they suggest I just call it in each month, not use the online. WTH? I knew either there was something going on with Walgreens (before this announcement) or there will soon be something happening because of the customer service they offered just can't sustain them. So I am not surprised.

Rote aids just closed and sent out scripts to Walgreens wtf else? CVS doesn’t accept my insurance!

Everytime i drive by a Walgreens the parking lot is empty. Only one employee car is in lot.

Who cares, many better choices already exist, if you don't know where to get your meds then your lazy.
