Evacuation from Pokrovsk, Ukraine: surviving shelling and finding a safe shelter

Pokrovsk is a largely destroyed city five kilometres from the frontline, where explosions and drones strike daily. In these extreme conditions, volunteers from the Angels of Salvation Foundation evacuate older people, people with limited mobility, and large families.
With the support of the Czech people through our SOS Ukraine Emergency Appeal, we will provide our Ukrainian colleagues with two ambulances so that they can continue to save lives.
The evacuees find shelter in Pavlohrad, a transit point where they receive humanitarian aid, register for cash assistance, and prepare to continue to safer regions.
