Invest 97L forecast: Tropical disturbance to become better organized over Gulf of Mexico

Показать описание
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said a tropical disturbance over Hispaniola, known as Invest 97L, is highly likely to develop further over the next seven days and possibly become a tropical depression as early as this weekend. It's still too early to tell exactly where this tropical wave will end up, whether it will become Tropical Storm Debby, and whether it will stay in the Gulf of Mexico or if it will make landfall over Florida – and where.

Get your tropical weather forecast each day during hurricane season from the FOX 35 Storm Team. We'll issue a new hurricane update each day, and more frequently when needed.

I think the coast of Florida should install thousands of huge fans that can change wind directions when necessary

I don't know this guy, I don't even live in Florida (I'm in TX), but this guy's personality and relatability is one of the best I've seen in all my years of existence. Fox hiring him was definitely a good hire in my eyes as an entrepreneur.

Ok. I'M IN the southern side of metro Atlanta. Just a thought on this young meteorologist, at least on this particular broadcast, I like how he very candidly makes it clear that he is not entirely sure on a lot of the actual details of this storm. It seems that a good bit of the meteorologist in my area nails down something as fact, and then it doesn't occur.

This can really mess up ones outdoor plans. Point being when your not absolutely certain, then say so.

Good job young fellow.

We can’t take another Ian . Praying it won’t be too developed. We all just recovered from a couple years ago.

wait, I'm confused...so, does that mean the tropical depression DOES NOT appear to look like punk-dancers in the 80's (you know, during wwii) throwing their bodies against one another and onto the ground...

"You're going to be kicked in the balls. We don't know when or how hard. We don't know if it will be just one kick or multiple kicks. For sure one kick. Have a great day!" - Meteorologist.

North Florida had a tropical storm Debby a few years back that left us flooded for months because it stalled.

Love your analogy about the disco ball. Not sure I get it, but that was great!

11:42 I live in Tampa, FL and I'm as prepared as can be. I bought bottled water, canned food, candles, batteries and brought the BBQ inside. I also taped the windows with duck tape.
