Kinda funny reading the comments "jail has never been cool". When we grew up we expected at some point we were going to jail or prison, and we planned accordingly for that day. We made plans on how we would run things with our people, businesses already setup to earn income, etc. What we didn't do however were crimes that carried sentences we weren't willing to face and then go rat people out to get out of the case. If we knew we had 7 years in us but not 30 years, then we did not do a 30-year crime and telling everyone to get a reduced sentence. In those days we did not even tell on our enemies. All depends on how, when, and where you were raised
