In the late 90’s when I was living in NJ, I use to blast Project Pat and Three Six Mafia all day. Pull up to the high school and the dudes would laugh. Two decades later, their kids are listening to them. Love it. Big ups to Memphis.

Let me tell you something, Drake plays the political game extremely well. You rarely know if he's being disingenuous or is really a fan. This dude's found a way to integrate himself in practically every culture in and around the States. I'm sure he knew if he supported local Memphis artists then they'd make sure his ppl down there were protected. Smart. Manipulative and calculating but you can't be mad at him, honestly
