My visa had expired for a few days but Dutch airport authorities still let me board the plane. 😄 As far as I understand, an expired visa is not really a big issue as long as it's not been for a long period of expiration.

I came to this video after our first night out in old town. We were charged $67 USD for our dinner at one of the restaurant's. We ordered two teas, a mezze plate and platter of kabobs to share! This is definitely not cheap by any means but it seems only charged to us based on us being apparent tourists.

I have been to Turkey a couple of times. Don't know about their governments, but the people there are very nice and hospitable. They like to see tourists around. Also they are much open minded than what international media try to potray them. Hope they stay same.
