This song is a metaphor for the supes. Chimps can't cry because they have no tearducts but the supes can't cry because they're expected to act like heroes. If you pay attention to the lyrics you notice they apply perfectly to the supes as well. "You can't tell they're hurting cause their eyes stay dry... inside, they're suffering in solitude"

I met her in Vought Park a few years ago. She was so kind to me. I remember she gifted me a little monkey plush toy and some kind of weapon she used in the past... a chain made of iron balls. She told me that it helps to "finish" the bad guys. Now that we know that she's dead, I sleep every night hugging the chain 😊😊😊. R.I.P Crimson Countess

When I was a kid I was convinced her powers were that she was like, The Deep but with monkeys instead of fish, I know it sounds stupid but my family didn't watch a lot of Vought so I had no idea. Learning that she actually used energy blasts taught me that you don't have to be invested in something to fight for a cause, and she's been a huge inspiration ever since. You go CC!
