When you think of SBC you don't think of something costing almost $600 and the size of a mini PC.

Just to get some context to bench results:

Lattepanda Sigma on Intel Core i5-1340P : GeekBench 6 ( SC 2213, MC 9283), 3DMark FireStrike: 4690 (GPU score 5031) CS:GO 133fps on Low 1080p, Doom Eternal under 60fps on Low 720p with dynamic resolition scale on
Asus Tuf A15 on AMD Ryzen 7940HS : GeekBench 6 ( SC 2414, MC 9436). 3DMark FireStrike 7367 (GPU score 7899), CS:GO 138fps but on High 1080p, Doom Eternal 88fps on Medium 1080p

Right now beelink has a lightning deal for $415 with a similarly configured setup using core i5-1240p (12C/16T CPU) and you can expand DDR5 RAM up to 64GB of RAM on the Beelink mini PC. IMHO, LattePanda Sigma's price needs to be better to remain competitive in a already crowded competition. That is $165 less total, comes with a Win11 Pro license and has nice case included for the price. None of these are included on the LattePanda Sigma. Also, you're stuck to 16GB of RAM since it's soldered on the mobo.

I really hope that 14th gen igpu really gain more traction over intel Xe
Atleast do it like Arc A380 if u can't beat phoenix ones
We need more competition on handhelds/ultrathin
The more the merrier that can do solid 1080p

It's nice to see such a generous amount of ports and storage options. They describe it as 'hackable', which is a tad cringeworthy because it means nothing. At the price, I'm not sure who it is aimed at.

This thing is absolutely insane. Single board computers are getting to the point where they're actually beating 2-3 year old PC's (like mine), but the only issue that remains is the onboard graphics. It won't be long before we just buy a single board computer to replace our entire system. Imagine a future where Lattepanda is equal to Apple.

That eDP port is an awesome option. You could easily make a nice custom self contained system.

What a fascinating product. My interest towards Ultra-SFF has only been increasing, and it is great to see that it is moving onward. Cannot wait how the tech keeps developing in the future!

It's impressive, but also very expensive. I think they went too hard on nice to haves and made it too premium. At this price I would prefer to see 32GB RAM and 2 more performance cores. But that would be unreasonable on a 13th gen product. I do love the dual NIC though. I think they could have trimmed some things and maybe got it to $450 - $500. i5-1240P or Ryzen 6600H, Gb instead of 2.5Gb ethernet, USB 3.2 gen 1, Thunderbolt 3 and maybe drop an M.2 slot. Though maybe this saves nowhere near as much cost as I think it could. I don't know if Latte Panda products drop in price later in their life cycle, but I will keep watching this one.

With dual 2.5Gbe this SBC makes pretty strong case for lightweight home server. It's actually pretty much exactly what I've been looking for. Only thing I wonder is whether BIOS on that thing allows disabling P cores and only running on E cores? I've been looking for low power solution running cool and quiet. No need for heavy compute. The 8 E cores on it alone would be all I need.

I love this channel, ideas come to me after watching every video!

Pricey for a SBC...you could probably make a small gaming rig the same.

Please spec a similarly featured laptop and a mini-PC with a case.

So between this channel and Explaining Computers I guess I'm doomed to buy a SBC at some point. Oh well.

I've been waiting for you to review this board. I've watched this review at least 4x. Needless to say that I love this board. I'm certainly picking up two of theses to replace a few older power hungry machines at the house.

Honestly waiting for these sbc computers to start coming out in a daughter board configuration, absolutely killing the desktop world.

1Million subscribers by concentrating on the SBC and handhelds market, I bet you did not think it would go above 10K subs.

Mind showing the BIOS? Mobile CPUs tend to have very different option that desktop. Would be great to see P/E cores only situation, particularly E-core only mode to compare this to N305 that has memory channel limitation and fewer igp EUs despite having similar E core count

Also would be great to see how well this runs Android games under Project Brunch or Bliss OS

Am I the only one that gets freaked out whenever I see your arms in the video? I've followed you for so long I halfway expect you to be a pair of disembodied hands with a soothing voice.
