I've personally found that the best weapon for zombies is actually the combat shotgun because it has 8 ammo, which means less reloading when fighting a horde, it generally very quickly 2 shots shadows, and it has long-range to hit the shadows before they reach you.
the pump is decent against single shadow encounters but you're more likely to miss shots.

I'm disappointed that Epic didn't give this new Midas style to the OG Midas owners.

when you die you basically team on everyone who isn't a shadow
so fortnite loves teaming

Oh also when you're in a match with some players and you're a ghost, it changes the way you sound. I believe it works when you're not in a party on PS4 or Xbox
