Great video David. I thought you pretty much sorted this in the previous video but obviously not. Cheers for taking the time to cover it again. I always amazed at how someone can think 8 minutes is a long time. Not my grandson Ryan, he thinks 4 minutes is a lifetime but then he is 5. As to historic accuracy, I always equate archers more to Artillerymen not Snipers.
Anyway, thanks again for the video. It must have been interesting as Ryan watched the whole 14 minutes of it :-)

Why don’t you grab the bow after release?

Well, you can’t grab a fully-loaded bow with your fingers, which weighs about 4-6 kg.

Would it be possible to arrange the various rods and weights so that the bow did not swing at all, or very little motion after release?

Anyway, I do think that there is an element of fashion in the sense that swinging is becoming exaggerated some of the time by some people.
