How to Install all the Mods

Morrowind Overhaul

Morrowind Rebirth

Tamriel Rebuilt

I would also recommend installing this rain retexture to fix that hard to see rain problem:

Finally, it's not a graphics thing, but OpenMW is a new engine that's in-development. It replaces the whole engine so things run better

The default water can look as good as the modded one, you just have to turn it on in the launcher. Yes, vanilla Morrowind had a VERY pretty water!

I quite like the signs being in "ancient gibberish". It adds to the feel of being in a foreign or alien world that isn't English.

Love seeing how beautiful it can be with all these fantastic mods! It's also my favorite Elder Scrolls game, and I'll be playing it in honor of its anniversary. It's a forever game for me! :)

This why I love mods

Morrowind starts to look like oblivion

Oblivion starts to look like Skyrim

Skyrim looks incredible

10:55 this is NOT how the vanilla water looks. You have either disabled something in the settings or its a driver issue, but the original water had shaders and looked fantastic for that time. What you show is basically an animated texture on the water with no shaders whatsoever.

The original did water effect was/is actually quite nice

I'll have to admit that i feel the empty, vast, rough and greyed out atmosphere gets lost quite a bit with the overhaul.
i always enjoyed the vanilla colour pallette.

Thanks for this! I just bought Morrowind on steam today and was looking to see if the graphics could be improved. It's the only Elder Scrolls game I haven't played yet and I'm looking forward to it.

Oh man I definitely need to play Morrowind again with rebirth added (if my laptop can handle it)! Also your morrowind t shirt design is sooo good!

been gaming since Atari...come to realize a long time ago that i dont need all my games to look jaw dropping spectacular. Visuals are a distant second next to gameplay. Great game!

my favourite game. i played it for ten years. whenever it was raining irl, i'd say; it's a morrowind day. just close the curtains and dive in. such an immersive game. they actually had real clues, in quests. that you'd have to figure out. and old maps of hidden treasure/bosses that you followed and sometimes had to hunt around for days trying to find. none of the :here's a quest>go to this place marked on the map>come back, nonsense that devs seem to do all the time now.

To Tell you the truth this line of games will never get old. Because they are D&D that you can play however you wish, stay as long as you wish! Because they are totally open ended. You never have to touch the main quest line if you choose not too.

So that's what Jiub looked like. Only met his ghost in Skyrim's Dawnguard.

When I first found your channel I watched your whole Morrowind series in a few days. I had never heard of it but thought it was absolutely magical. In my opinion only your Obduction series beat it for being enchanting and unmissable.

I tried using Overhaul, but it always felt off to me. I have no problems with the "dated" look of Morrowind's vanilla graphics; yes, it's probably just because I put so many hours into the game without mods, but honestly the vanilla game absolutely succeeds in creating immersive atmosphere and mods for me don't do anything to enhance that, and actually detract or distract from it for me.

I remember playing Morrowind 3 times in a row the first year I got it. I've been waiting impatiently for Skywind but after watching this video, it's kind of tempting to just mod and play the original when it looks this nice modded.

I just feel the updated graphics and the original look bad in different ways. I prefer the more consistent look of the original though. The faces are so jarring in the overhauled version - Fargoth was outright terrifying!

Morrowind may be my favorite game for eternity. That is way too much depth of field. I prefer my depth of field subtle.

Yeah but all the NPC's are completely static - meaning there is no emergent gameplay. Its exactly the same every time. If you are like me, having never finished the main quest in any TES game, the fact you can mod in patrols and stuff and enjoy completely emergent adventures in the wilds is the main draw. The linear, static, wall of text RPG thing has its charm, but it belongs firmly to the last gen.
