I obtained at least three Federal Search Warrants in the Southern District of Florida in the late 1990s. At least then, the rule was no more than 10 pages double spaced for an affidavit. Spent a lot of time in the USAO from out of town carving down my PC statements. I ended up thinking this was very smart in the end. This is not long before Judge Cannon became an AUSA, wonder if rules are still there for most people. This was the rule for Magistrates in the District. I mean these guys included the fact that a moving truck was seen there. Seriously, a guy who was moving had a moving truck, talk about key evidence, LOL. The inventory of items taken is telling as well. The author identifies several documents as being "Top Secret" etc. How could he possibly know at the time whether any of the documents had been de-classified at some point? We also weren't providing pictures to the press immediately after a search for posting in media. I don't know how anyone could conclude there was no rush for judgement or pre-judgement.
