Wouldn't it be better if you use the liquids on the kitchen towel instead of dripping on the cpu? Its just incase because you could damage your cpu on motherboard.

I was getting so paranoid about those hard to reach spots on the side where the bracket sits. I spent 10 minutes getting at it with a toothpick, but I guess I didn't even need to worry about it.

Hey, man! Thanks for the video, but I'm wondering: do you have to heat up the thermal paste beforehand? The last time I removed a CPU it just came right off with the cooler. Thankfully it didn't hurt the socket but the CPU was basically glued to the cooler. It was AMD's thermal paste, which is apparently notorious for acting like solid glue. This time around I used the tube that came with the Darkrock Pro 4 cooler, so I'm hoping it won't be a problem. But is there like a common procedure for this? Like running a benchmark for 30 mins before? Thanks!
