Hi Heather, my name is Rex Torres. Same last name! I waited for eighteen months before I finally pressed Record as well. I spent over a year watching videos, reading books, surfing the web and taking courses and webinars. I appreciate your YouTube videos so much because they resonate with me so well. They are so relatable. Heather, the most important item which helped me getting started was time management. Between working full time overnight at a gym, dealing with medical issues and assisting my elderly parents, finding time for YouTube every week is a serious challenge. These tips are incredibly valuable! I started in early February 2022, and I have been posting on average three videos per week. This is so true! Fear stops us from doing so many things that we want to do! Our brain can come up with 10 different reasons not to do something but instead, just focus on the one reason to do it! And get started! Love the tips! :)

I'm a perfectionist. This is my biggest strength in my profession and my biggest weakness with YouTube. I was taking too much time planning videos, filming, editing, etc. I finally decided to dedicate X amount of time each week to a video, and then I post it no matter what. And with each video, I analyze areas of improvement, and apply 1% improvement in each subsequent video. Also, it's much easier for me to be vulnerable to complete strangers on the internet than to tell those in my personal life about my YouTube channel. So I keep my channel private from my friends. It removes a lot of my personal anxiety. Happy creating!

Facts I just started my youtube channel 5 months ago an it's growing nicely i have only 6 videos over 20, 000 views I never wanted to be on camera. It took me 5 years to start but now I'm here. I studied youtube alot before I got started i also did alot of practice runs so to all the new Youtubers just like me you can do it just press record !! You will stumble in the beginning but don't stop stumble your way to the top!!
