4 adults here. My husband, daughter, son, and myself. We are all either schooling from home or remotely working most of the time this semester. 4 of us 3 meals a day at least 5 days a week. I’m averaging $225-250 a week. That’s for food and household items including toiletries. Dog/cat food is separate and another $150.

Widowed - was spending about $50 - 60 per week, but it’s creeped up
toward $70-75 these days if I get extravagant with an item or two.

For my husband and I we typically spend 100 to 120 every 2 weeks and 30 or so a week on things we run out of.Milk, bread, coffee creamer or a few filler items. But we don't buy a ton of produce we have produce frozen from the garden, canned and some store bought frozen we use. Plus we have meat from processing our own rabbit and we have venison. We like to use smaller amounts of meat to make casseroles soups and use rice and beans to make it stretch further in Mexican food for example

I spend about $40-60 per week for groceries for just myself with a slightly larger haul about once a month, in addition to that I usually get takeout for dinner at least once if not twice a week. This week I spent $100 on groceries at Walmart, a lot of it was restocking my pantry.

I spend around £50 per week for just me, but I also have a large garden so during the summer I buy no veggies and a lot less fruit. Even now I’ve got tonnes of tomatoes (plus a huge amount of green tomatoes I’m leaving to ripen - should last me until end of Dec), squashes, onions, potatoes, kale and apples. I’ve also focussed on preserving this year. I’ve got over 100 jars of tomato sauce, salsa, chutneys, jams, apple sauce etc that will hopefully last the winter so I’ll save some money there too. Have also frozen as many veggies as possible, and saved seeds to save for next years garden.

I spend $350-400 per week for my family of 11. This includes toiletries (diapers for twins), cleaning supplies, sanitary products, supplements (a couple of mine live in the gym), and clothing for my littles.

Averaged, about $200 week for a family of four. Two parents, two college kids living at home and commuting to school. This doesn’t include the pets. Things have definitely went up. I cook mostly whole foods, from scratch, and limit processed. I think that helps. I got a grain mill this year and make all of our bread/baked products. I can’t believe how much a loaf of bread runs in the store these days.

I spend $150 a week for a family of 5. That includes household items. I don't buy meat very often, and it's primarily chicken, as we get a side of beef and a whole hog yearly. ~ Stephanie

Peanut butter rice cakes with peanut butter and few chocolate chips and microwave for few seconds to warm and it is an amazing treat. I get unbleached flour from a local grocery store and I find it better then others but unwilling to pay King Arthur prices. I stock up in November and December when it goes on sale to have enough to last me the year. I have three people in our family and we spend $200 a month on all of our household needs. We have upped that because it used to be $160 so we took the extra money out of eating out. It is a tight budget that requires a lot of homemade items and creativity.

I budget $200/week for groceries. Family of 4 in Chicago suburbs. I legit gasped out loud when I saw the most recent price of eggs: $5.17 for 18!!

I'm running about $150 or so a week, including household stuff. It's just me and two grown boys in their 20s. Yes, food has gone up, horribly. Mine is that low because I sat down with everyone (they help pay for the bills & groceries) and spread the food out and told them what I wasn't going to buy anymore. I was surprised when they said they can give up this, this and this in addition to what I wasn't going to buy. No fruits, few snacks, nothing pre-made other than a bag of coleslaw mix. Frozen veggies. Bread is being made at home. Hot chocolate mix is being made here. We've been pretty creative with snacks the last two months.

I spend about 300 a week for three adults. The prices in NY have gone thru the roof. 7.29 for 18 eggs. It is outrageous!!!!

There are just two of us now and we shop every 2 weeks. Our recent grocery shop we spent $126 at Kroger. We will go to Aldi's maybe twice a month just get some produce or canned items. They are much cheaper than Kroger.

Family of 5. We spend about $300/week (on all things: house hold items, toiletries, pullups, wipes, breakfast, lunch, and dinner). And we rarely eat out. We used to spend around $150-$200 2 years ago. I don't even look at prices anymore. If we need it, we need. 🤷🏾‍♀️I don't coupon so I honestly don't know what to do. I find that I'm cooking the same stuff from month to month though. I was looking at one of my old grocery hauls and realized that I don't really venture out and try new recipes b/c if it's a flop that's money down the drain.
