I LOVE this idea. The worldbuilding is something to behold, and the drawings of the monkeys are SO cute! Loved the serpent symbols especially. I liked how washy and messy they looked, as if the artist hasn't quite figured out how to draw precise lines yet. Or as if it was drawn using a feather or charcoal stick.

In all seriousness, this would make for a fun spin-off for Planet of the Apes in which Japanese Macques get infected with the simian flu and become the dominant species in Japan. 🐒🦍🦧
