These little 1.5 are underrated. There’s a guy working with PRL with his 10th gen si pushing 400whp with PRL’s upgrade Turbo Kit.

I have the 4 door si, the car is 2, 900 lbs. it’s not a heavy car. The steering dynamics clutch and shifts are amazing. It’s an economy car, comparing it to a type R is not doing this car justice. The type R is a completely different animal. The power is dam fast stock. It doesn’t need to be tuned, let the car break in the exhaust noise is really nice and the limited slip differential is great for messing around at low speed. That’s what this car is about. It’s an economy car with some sport dynamics. Not a track car.

I got my 18 SI Coupe a month ago now and I love it so far. Getting my Eibach springs, sway bars, and end links in a few days!

If you want to feel good about your car purchase watch this guy's videos, he never says anything bad about any car he review lol

Matt reminds me a lot of Richard Hammond, the way they react under acceleration is awesome

Great review Matt!! I currently own a 2017 Civic Si Sedan! I like it a lot!! I have owned an 09’, 12’, 14’ Civic Si’s all sedans and they each had their own character!!! I liked each one in different ways!! I do feel like the 17 had been my favorite Si so far!! It feels quite a bit more refined than my previous ones!! I do miss the higher revving motors though! I am now saving up for a Type R!! Keep up the great work Matt you have been one of my favorite channels for a long time!! God bless ya my friend!!

Neither the Elantra GT nor the Veloster Turbo have a limited slip differential. Honda is packing a lot of value into the Si.

Whenever I have the fleeting thought that I'd like to get back into an Si, I just have to look at one and I'm once again glad I have a GTI. Solid power for this car, though.

Is DUST an option for this car on the screen? How much?

a turbo is what the SI always needed.. 200 hp isn't enough but when a tuned NA motor vs this turbo motor, the gains are a night and day difference. Honda did the power train right at least...

I got a corvette, my new SI is more fun in the corners, makes the swooshie sound, gets 40mpg+ highway, slap on Hondata on there and keep up with my uncles Type R... not a bad way to spend $25k

I own one w/a hondata tune this car shines best on twisty roads like we have in new england you can just leave it in 3rd and focus on the corners. the motor makes great tourque and limited slip differential digs in..a special car and a bargain

Matt- Just a guess but those steering wheel controls could be biased left due to an engineer with crazy attention to detail - you're often busy rowing gears with your right (which is is why cruise controls are on right). Smart!

Notification squad. I too have a 2018 Si Coupe in white 😁😁

I wonder if a lightweight flywheel would reduce the revhang that these new Civics come with... I want to like these Civics but the revhang, electronic parking brake and fake ducts/intakes put me off. Great video Matt.

It would be cool if they made it a 2 door hatchback, then it would be a winner

I just traded it my 17 hatchback CVT for the 19 Si I just installed the ktuner with drop in k&n filter. That car has so much torque after 3k RPMs it pulls so good no need to downshift like the old skool VTEC motors. I have owed nothing but Honda my whole life and this is the only car that I did not worry about how high the red line is. From the factory it's pretty hideous the Rev hang & how long it takes to reboost when you switch gears so ktuner is a must if you're an enthusiast

10th gen si is fun as heck...Quick car the the torque boost helps, you can steer that car on a dime..you will be smiling the whole way through a canyon run, the car is quiet through you will have to put and exhaust( muffler delete, or downpipe) for some good sound..you will not be disappointed, now with a little tune, just makes the car waaay more fun...it is not comparable to an old si, two different cars so you will have to drive this car with wanting a new driving experience..dont look for the old feeling when driving a 10th gen compared to earlier gens...take it for what it is..the type r is in a class of its own fast car steers super well but if you can't afford it the sport hatchback and si are great platforms if your modding, a tune by itself can get you to close to mid 200s hp and torque not including bolt ons...if the type r is superman, the si is superboy, (not the comic superboy, superbly from the recent dc cartoon series)cant fly, can't beat superman, doesn't has all his powers but he's still super
