I wasn't even planning on diving but I thought I would take a quick look in the Michael's dumpster and I was caught on surveillance. after the police left i went and confronted the store manager! Watch the video to see what happens.

that was ridiculous, the manager or police, worring about you taking trash, the only thing I could see was maybe they would be responsible if you were hurt on their property and neither one of them said anything about that, just be careful it's a crazy world we live in

Trash is technically owned by the dumpster company once it’s dumped in there, and they surely prefer it out of their landfills. U can’t get prosecuted for taking trash, and that’s the law. I wouldn’t have bothered making an agreement with the manager. Now U virtually told him U won’t be back. They can’t control all divers. They must have other divers. Ugh! It’s so annoying to watch this stupidity on broken or trashed items.

Its funny how the police make us feel more uncomfortable than safe...if the laws are clear then the police actually enforce their own morale standards and make up laws as they go along. The manager also has no idea, the truth of the matter is...once they dump their trash, it actually becomes the property of the sanitation department. In saying all that, I think you're a pretty stand up person that obviously stepped way out of your comfort zone to engage in confrontation. You stepped where angels fear to tread, you have my utmost admiration and respect

If it's not illegal dumpster diving in your state, why did you have to make that deal with the manager? But, you know best and you still got the porcelain cats in the end! And I must say the officer startled me! Lol.. I didn't see him standing there until you turned around but, I think he was nicer than the manager! Lol. God bless!

In my area the county police told me, once they are dumped in the garbage, they no longer belong to anyone unless its dog back out! #SavetheLandfill

Wow you found some great stuff and Michael’s which is so wonderful for your daughter as well to paint and have fun with. Very nice you donate stuff and teachers can always use materials, I am a former teacher! I am sure appreciate it all., That’s crazy that the police was called in always something lol oh boy! I saw u on my special scrapdog channel. So, I thought I’d check urs out. That whole episode with the police and the manager was ludicrous! The officer should have just waved at u and left. The manager should have said we’ll hold trashed items for u to donate. Some stores actually do that. I won’t shop at Michaels now. I’ll shop at Joanne’s fabrics or Walmart. It truly bothers me how unevolved these stores are. Adding tons of trash annually to landfills is a gross irresponsibility. Bye 👋 Michaels!!
