Literally me right now. Diagnosed at 30 years old blew my mind, also saddened me tremendously. Dealt with so much internal as well as external shaming for so long. Yes I can run an entire music event but scheduling that dentist appointment I forget about for two months. Never ending.

Brain now: I'd rather starve than decide now. Brain later: eat everything in sight!

Not to mention the endless battle to keep the kitchen clean enough to cook 😅

Omg same! It’s crazy when you come to realization that little things we do is directly linked to ADHD. I knew I was different than most people but I could never really link the dots like I’m doing now. It’s really refreshing to hear I’m not alone! This girl really gets it and she puts it in such a humorous way. Love it!

Typically during hyper-fixation where I feel like I don't deserve it.

I’m stuck deciding between starting my homework or packing for my trip both of which have to be done within the next couple hours.
I’ve been in bed for the last 3 hours…

You’re helping me so much as a mom of a 9 year old with ADHD! All I want is to be compassionate and understanding of the struggle!!

Was diagnosed at age 49...actually a few months ago. Watching you makes everything I do make sense. I have always thought I was strange. Now, I feel like there is a community out there for us!

Omg this is probably one of the most frustrating things that come with adhd ❤😭

It's awful! Since my (late) diagnosis in April '24, I have become keenly aware that once I make a decision, people will sometimes say something like "Are you sure? We could also do x, y, and z..." and it immediately sends me into anxiety mode bc I'm second-guessing myself and start the entire process in my head all over again. 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️

Thank you for putting a voice to my craziness that I wasn’t able to explain to others! Now I just share your videos! ❤

There are times that my wonderful husband realizes I’m “stuck” and makes the decision for me. 😂🥰😊😝🤣

And people just don't understand...

I've got something that I've learned to do with my ADHD that helps a lot with things like this. I stop thinking about it. Sounds crazy I know, and it took a long time for me to figure out how to do, but it works for me...not with everything, but with small things like this. I don't let my brain think about it, I know how to do this (whatever small thing it is) so I just do it without letting my brain think about it. I'll let my mind wander in any other way it wants to, but I don't think about what I'm doing. Sounds kind of counter intuitive, but it works for me lol.

For me, my brain instantly goes into a pros/cons list of all options until it gets too overwhelming and then I opt not to eat. It also happens with other decisions too.

Psychologists have determined there are a certain number of decisions you can make per day. And on very effective days, i borrow decisions from the next day to get everything done at work. And the next day i will be unable to make very many choices due to decision fatigue. But its a handy superpower that i can borrow tomorrows decisions today when working on a deadline.

You just smacked that nail directly on its head. I've been debating what to eat for so long today that I just said "eff it, I'll be ok if I down this Powerade" & started getting ready for bed. What's crazy is that if I were to actually choose ANYTHING to eat at this point, I'd be instantly nauseous or feel stuffed to the gills & not be able to eat even though two seconds ago the neighbors at the end of the block could probably hear my stomach growling. And even worse - I'll wind up waking up tomorrow with an empty wrapper or container bc I fully ate something I completely consciously forgot I had stashed away in my nightstand or something 100% in my sleep & with no memory of it at all. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
