I think Webb lost one of it's mirrors early on, losing some resolution because of it, Im curious as to how much further we could see without suffering that loss. For Webb's pricetag Im surprised they didn't have some sort of protection for the telescope, something that can track nearby close objects, and a cage that would protect the vital equipment during a collision, or have the rockets engage in evasive maneuvers to prevent it. They knew other stuff is there, after all the same influences that make it attractive to park Webb there is the same reason why other bodies floating in space end up there. Ir will get hit again, I just hope we don't lose much of Webb's potential we barely got our feet wet
