I'm not even remotely religious, but even I feel slightly insulted by Lois' comment.

Religion offers people hope, guidance and all sorts of other stuff that is in very short supply in our country. If people want to have religion in their lives because of that, then what's the issue?

That's not to say religion doesn't have any cons about it, however, but that's a different discussion altogether.

Edit: A couple things:
1. Lois is, like she's always been, a hypocrite considering she was always the one talking about going to Church more often.
2. Seeing Meg tremble a bit after calling Lois a monster is pretty funny.

Edit 2: It's been a while since I last visited this comment, probably a year or two really. After reading some of the comments... Just because someone follows a religion doesn't make them stupid or naive. In our fucked-up country / world, religion might be the only thing some people have in this world that keeps them alive, or at the very least from going off the deep end. If you think otherwise, then that's your opinion - but just accept that people will want to have faith in their lives, no matter how they get it. If you have a problem with that... then I guess it sucks to be you; and if you have _that_ much of an issue with it, to the point where you feel like you need to talk down to others and denounce them, then that's just outright pathetic.
