Bilbao is an absolutely wonderful city. If, when you go next again, the best time to have a look around the museum is first thing in the morning, it’s gets very busy. I love the city and the people and I’ve always said they have the best tapas in the whole of Spain. Those plates are to die for, you can really eat well. Made me laugh when you said you didn’t have any cash on you….so funny. Looking forward to your next vlog. Hearing your wee one speak is such a joy, he’s coming along leaps and bounds. Courageous! To have traveled all that way with a little kiddie for just 24 hours is amazing! It's really a shame you three couldn't have settled in for a few weeks, rented a small place and really taken in the sites, sounds and food! How lovely, hope you had a wonderful trip! My son visits Bilbao about twice a year with his little family, he is from South Africa but became Spanish after he married his Peruvian/ Spanish wife. His wife’s family members live on a timber farm in Bilbao handed down from grandparents!

Love Bilboa. Half of it was built by my dad. Bilboa was built on steel industry, and was full of blast furnaces, much the same as the north of England. It reinvented itself after the collapse of the steel industry and became a cultural centre for arts and film industry. Shame you didn’t get a chance to go the old port in Getxo. You will find that all transport in Spain is like this, if you go to Madrid it has easily one of the best metros in the world. Valladolid, wine and rugby country. Yes rugby it’s the rugby centre of Spain, about the only place in Spain you won’t hear people talking about football in the bars. Played at Pepe rojo many a time. Have fun and enjoy the food.
