This video takes a little tour around the highlights of just one ROV dive in Irish waters. All filmed at around 1000m you can see species such as the Leafscale Gulper Shark (Centrophorus squamosus), a small dogfish, a couple of chimera species (chimera are related to sharks - Chimera opalescens and Hydrolagus sp), a species of deep-sea scorpionfish (Helicolenus dactylopterus), an extensive coral reef formed by Lophelia pertusa and Madrepora oculata corals, and some dead coral rubble host to a number of crinoids. Over the reef and rubble areas you can mostly see Lepidion eques (the fish) and cutthroat eels (Synaphobrancus sp) swimming aboat slowly.

Filmed on Porcupine Bank on the Celtic Explorer research cruise CE15011 (station 43), July 2015.
