The XPress is Lectric’s first full-size commuter e-bike. It’s available in a high-step and step-thru frame with either a 500W motor and 499 Wh battery or a 750W motor and a 672 Wh battery. In this review, we look at the entry-level 500W ST model!

This version of the bike has curved Dutch-style handlebars, an adjustable stem, and an upright and comfortable riding position. We like to call this combination a city cruiser, as it blends many features of a traditional cruiser with a commuter.

The XPress is also Lectric’s first e-bike with a torque sensor. We found that it felt pleasantly responsive and smooth. The bike also felt powerful, capable of high (or low) speeds, and able to climb hills with its 500W hub motor.

I’ve seen a bunch of reviews on the 750w version, the motor is much louder. Wish this had the larger battery of the 750 w though.

I suggest an Lectric vs Lectric comparison video. It would cover 500W vs 750W comparison of audible level and power delivery differences as wells as cadence vs torque. Does the 750W create the same experience for riders towards the top end of load capacity or just a swifter start and more solid top end Class 3 delivery❓I would like to see the “ONE” run through the gauntlet. Does it ghost pedal with the 6 speed transmission and if so are there future plans of a 9 speed❓Does the ONE’s 750W motor deliver on the smaller wheels similarly as the larger diameter or does it pack a punch low on startup and deliver more gently on the top end to 28mph❓👉🏼Great review as always and nice to see Lectric delivering on a torque sensor.👍🏼 25:22

I'm impressed with how quiet that motor is - I find the noise level and noise "quality" of most cheap motors to be very grating.
I'm still skeptical of Lectric as a company - those pricepoints rationally require some compromises, and I'm worried about the more hidden/long-term issues. What you're getting for $1k-$1.3k just seems too good to be true. A comparable Gazelle is 2-3x the price (which obviously goes not just into higher labor cost but components, quality, etc..)

Great review guys. I live in Pleasant Grove. I need to come and ride your trails down there. I am very interested in the 750 watt version.

The hill test rider at 18:15 didn’t realize it was a torque sensor. He thought it was the pwr cadence. I wonder if it would have gone even faster if he put a tad more effort in with the torque sensor.

This one is a winner, pricewise and user's friendly handling.

Could you please do the review on the Lectric express 750?

An 8 speed trigger shifter. It’s like $20 more Lectric.

I'm very hesitant to buy a lectric bike. I've heard that they don't always last that long and I also feel like the short 1 year warranty could be a sign that the company doesn't have a lot of confidence in the bikes having long lives. But please prove me wrong because I don't really know.

Its a great bike in so many ways (I have the 750 and like it a lot) - they really need to include a brake light, it can add much to the cost for such a relatively routine safety feature these days.

I think Lectric knocked it out of the park with this bike, especially the 'base' 500 model. Just try to find another bike out there with the specs that this one has (with a torque sensor!) for $999. Trust me, there's not one.

👏 Thank You, I have been eagerly waiting for this video. May I suggest a (Lectric Xpress vs Ride1Up Turris vs Aventon Pace 500) comparison

I think Lectric should do more with paint choices. These bikes are mostly about fun. But they don't look as fun in terms of style. They are going to lose customers over this.

A lighter weight for stairs and loading on the bus bike racks other wise looks great

What more could you ask for? How about a working brake light. The most glaring safety oversight and a real head scratcher. I would be embarrassed if I worked for Lectric. You can’t put working brake lights on your bikes? Don’t you have any value for your customers lives? Astonishing.
