As a conference speaker and MC, my ATEM mini-pro has been the ultimate lifesaver for me in presenting and hosting on-line conferences. So powerful and so much yet to learn to get the most out of it. My latest purchase of a couple of Nanlite Forza 60Bs with matching parabolic soft boxes will be up there on my go-to items as well very soon! Oh yes, other nerdy stuff like the Netgear Nighthawk M5, 5G hotspot, when a normal consumer fibre connection is just not fast enough, has been crucial too.

The little iFootage tripods are amazing. By themselves, without a huge video head on them, they're small and easy to use for lots of setups, and super useful for lights and cameras of pretty much any size. I use two to hold a slider on a table for some shots, and there are lots of different uses for them.

The use of mirrors is the first thing I remember from my first gig gripping towards the end of college. I used to put so much into lighting and set detail, now I just shoot quality clean stuff and don’t waste client’s time with all that extra. I’m in a small city (under200k) market though.

+1 on the 16" MBP. I used to use the trashcan 2013 Mac Pro desktop, but the Macbook Pro is amazingly capable in the portable package in case I'm on the go.

I know it's a long, long way off but your production aesthetics is the bar I'm setting myself. Such a gorgeous look and of course the sound is top notch. That filter would be perfect for shooting a scene with Christmas lights! That would save me a ton of time in photoshop jumping through hoops to get that glow that our eyes perceive that the camera just doesn't.
