Webmin is basically a system admin platform for unix but has a web based platform. In order to get started, you will need to make sure that you have the requirements installed on your system.

In order to do so, you must have PHP5, Apache and MySQL server installed on the system.
In this tutorial, we will show you how to install webmin on Ubuntu.


Step 1 -- Open the terminal
Now open up the terminal and we will start by installing the dependencies. For that, we will type in: "sudo apt-get install perl libnet-ssleay-perl openssl libauthen-pam-perl libpam-runtime libio-pty-perl apt-show-versions python" and hit enter.

Step 2 -- Enter Password
With that done, you will be prompted for the password. Enter the password and hit the "enter" key to continue with the installation.

Step 3 -- Agree to continue with the installation
Before the installation, you will be prompted once more whether or not you want to continue with the installation. Over here, simply type in "y" and hit enter and the installation will start. This may take a few minutes.
