A quick overview of the differences between the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor and a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure).

MAF Sensor vs MAP Sensor What is the Difference?
A MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor) sensor measures the Volume of Air Flow going into an engine.
A MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor measures Air Density which changes with altitude.

A hot-wire mass air flow sensor, measures air flow as grams/second. The MAF sensor is effectively taking into account ambient air pressure as the hot-wire would cool more slowly with less dense air moving through the intake at the same rate as more dense air moving through the intake

Still confused. I have a 91 dodge stealth the MAF sensor was replaced . Is that the same as the code reading of 25 for a barrow sensor? The car is still when accelerating, hesitates a bit or seems like the fuel isn't getting to where it needs to go ...like airpockets?
