For many years, Rob C was THE player described as the best to never win lol should be in this intro.

This would actually be a great season idea especially because we’d be happy no matter who wins

Amanda should have been added to this.

Yau Man, Rob C and Amanda were snubbed here

I decided to make a Brantsteele season of this just for funsies. Here's how it went:

First things first, I decided to shuffle up the tribes. Here's how they look now: (Apologies for the crappy tribe names)

Secondus Tribe Honestus Tribe
Abi-Maria Michaela Andrea Domenick
Candice Ozzy Aubry Ian
Devon Russell Coach Kass
Jerry Spencer Cirie Kelley
Malcolm Stephanie Colby Rick

Also, this was run in the Heroes vs Villians version of Survivor. Here how things shook out:

Episode 1

There's two early alliances on the Secondus Tribe: A four-person alliance of Malcolm, Michaela, Spencer, and Stephanie (S1), and a three-person alliance of Candice, Ozzy, and Russell (S2). Honestus also has two alliances: A five-person alliance of Andrea, Aubry, Colby, Domenick, and Kelley (H1)(I love this alliance), and a three-person alliance of Coach, Kass, and Devins (H2)(This alliance scares me).

(There are reward challanges, but they don't influence the game that much so I'm skipping them)

The first immunity challenge is Lock, Load and Light, and Honestus takes it, sending Secondus to tribal.

At the Secondus tribe, Devon finds the hidden immunity idol. He's on the outs, so this is great for him. At Honestus no one finds the idol, but Devins and Domineck bond slightly. Hm.

It's the first tribal, and in a 5-4-1 vote, Abi-Maria is sent home. Sorry Abi fans. Michaela and Malcolm received the other votes, respectively. The S1 alliance and Jerri voted for Abi, the S2 alliance and Devon voted for Michaela, and Abi was the lone vote for Malcolm.

Episode 2

Secondus fires right back after ousting Abi and wins the second immunity challenge, A Crate Idea. Honestus is heading to tribal.

Devon holds onto the idol at Secondus, but Spencer's behavior is rubbing the tribe the wrong way (shocker). At Honestus, Cirie finds the idol! Now she has some insurance for the final six!

At tribal, Cirie doesn't use her idol and it pays. Cirie is voted out 8-2 against Colby. Cirie and Ian voted for Colby, and everyone else voted Cirie. She walks out with an idol in her pocket.

Episode 3

Secondus goes back to back and wins Sumo in Mud, their second immunity win. Honestus returns to tribal.

Secondus heats up as Devon and Spencer have a major fight. The idol is back in play at Honestus and Andrea finds it. Also, Aubry and Domenick have a major fight.

Tribal Council 3, and with a 5-4 vote, Ian goes home. H2 makes an attempt to take out the majority alliance, but just doesn't have the numbers. Great non-idol play by Andrea.

Episode 4

After losing two immunity challenges, Honestus wins Roll with it and sends Secondus to tribal.

Nothing happens at Secondus and Colby and Rick bond a lot at Honestus.

It's tribal council 4 and Devon plays his idol, negating 4 votes and idoling out Malcolm in a 3-2 against Spencer. S1 gets outplayed and S2 sends a member of the majority packing. Well played idol by Devon.

Episode 5

Secondus fires back again in Blind Cube Crisis and sends Honestus to their third tribal.

After Devon uses his idol, it goes back into play at Secondus and Candice finds it, while Stephanie becomes appreciated around camp. Honestus has huge changes as the five-person alliance dissolves right before tribal! That will certainly shake things up.

At tribal, what would have been a 4-4 split vote becomes unanimous as Andrea uses her idol which sends Aubry home. A loss for H2, who was trying to send Andrea home.

Episode 6

It's a double elimination episode and only one person from each tribe can be immune. The winner on each tribe and Michaela for Secondus and Andrea for Honestus. Everyone else is up for elimination.

Jerry is becoming appreciated at Secondus, and Kass finds the idol at Honestus while her alliance dissolves. It's a free for all at Honestus.

Secondus is first up at tribal, and with a 5-3 vote, Spencer is voted out against Devon. The majority alliance is being torn apart and Jerri and Devon have a lot of power as the swing votes.

Honestus is up next and with a 4-3 vote, Kass is voted out against Colby. Not a good day for Survivor: Cagayan. Kass also becomes the second player of the season to leave with an idol in their pocket.

Episode 7

It's the seventh immunity challenge the tribes are staying fairly even as Honestus wins immunity to make the tribes 6 v 6 and send Secondus to tribal.

Michaela and Jerri have a minor fight at Secondus and Andrea finds another idol at Honestus while Devins behavior rubs the tribe the wrong way.

At Secondus's fourth tribal council, they send home Michaela with a 4-3 vote against Ozzy. This time the swing votes were split with Devon voting for Michaela and Jerri voting for Ozzy. However, the once majority alliance only has one member left with Stephanie.

Episode 8

With the tribes even at 6 apiece, Honestus wins Mud Slide to send Secondus to tribal for their fifth time.

There were no major tribe events for Episode 8

At tribal, Candice does not play her idol and Devon is sent home in a 4-2 vote against Ozzy. Devon pulled in Stephanie to vote for Ozzy, but S2 is the only alliance left in the game and they all vote for Devon with Jerri. Devon becomes the first member of the jury.

Episode 9

The tribes are starting to become uneven as Honestus wins immunity sending Secondus to tribal and insuring that Andrea, Coach, Colby, Domenick, Kelley, and Devins make the merge.

The only event this episode is that Coach is becoming appreciated around camp (Coach? Really?)

At the final tribal before the merge, the player that gets cucked from the merge is Stephanie in a 3-2 vote against Russell. Jerri was the second vote for Russell, but it's not enough and the once majority is now completely gone. Stephanie is the second member of the jury.

Episode 10

With half of the cast gone, it's time for the merge! Here is our merge tribe:

Clausus Tribe
Andrea Boehlke Jerri Manthey
Benjamin "Coach" Wade Kelley Wentworth
Candice Woodcock Ozzy Lusth
Colby Donaldson Rick Devins
Domenick Abbate Russell Hantz

I think this merge tribe has a good mix of old school and new school, so I like how it turned out. But, only one can win. Here we go:

There are three alliances going into the merge. They are:

Original Secondus Tribe (OS): Candice, Jerri, Ozzy, Russell
Original Honestus Tribe (OH): Andrea, Coach, Colby, Domineck, Kelley, Devins
Secondus Tribe 2 (S2): Candice, Ozzy, Russell

Let's get into the first individual immunity challenge. The winner of the first individual immunity is Jerri and she is safe at tribal. Everyone else is safe.

With a new tribe comes a new idol, and no one finds it this episode. Andrea and Candice both have idols of their own, and Andrea gets into a major fight with Russell.

At the first merged tribal, the third member of the jury is the infamous Russell Hantz, in a 6-4 vote against Colby. This vote was completely along original tribe lines and neither idol was played. So long, Russell.

Episode 11

It's the second individual immunity, and the winner is Jerri again. Jerri is becoming a bit of a challenge threat. Everyone else is up for elimination.

Once again, no one finds the hidden immunity idol and Colby and Jerri bond a lot (cough, cough).

It's the second tribal council... or it would have been. Ozzy gets medically evacuated from the game. Rough for OS as they only have two original members left. Ozzy becomes the fourth member of the jury.

Episode 12, Part 1

Immunity has finally been ripped from Jerri's grasp as Kelley becomes safe at the next tribal council. It's going to be very tough for Candice and Jerri to survive, but Candice does have an idol. We'll see how it goes.

Kelley adds some bonus protection as she finds the hidden immunity idol. With 8 people remaining there are now three idols in play. Oh boy.

Tribal begins and things get crazy as both Candice and Andrea play their idols. This results in no votes for anyone and there is a revote. The revote makes things even crazier as it's a 4-4 tie between Colby and Devins, which means we will go to rocks. Kelley won immunity, Candice and Andrea are safe due to their idols, and Colby and Devins tied in the revote which means they are safe. That leaves only Jerri, Coach, and Domenick to pull rocks. The unluckiest of those three was unfortunately Domineck. Domineck Abbate becomes the fifth member of the jury.

Episode 12, Part 2

And the episode isn't even over yet! The winner of the final 7 immunity challenge is Kelley again, insuring that she doesn't have to use her idol tonight. The rest are up for elimination.

There are no tribe events for Episode 12, Part 2

At the final 7 tribal, Kelley keeps her idol and Candice Woodcock becomes the sixth member of the jury in a 5-2 vote. Another vote along alliance lines, which leaves Jerri in a 5 v 1 situation.

Episode 13

It's the final 6 immunity challenge and one person will guaranteed be in the final episode. That person is Coach, who wins his first individual immunity of the season. Jerri is in a very precarious spot, but Kelley has won a lot of challenges. Those seem like the biggest targets.

After being appreciated at camp, Coach begins to rub the tribe the wrong way.

At the final 6 tribal, predictably, in a 5-1 vote, Jerri Manthey becomes the seventh member of the jury with the sole vote being for Devins. Secondus is gone and only Honestus remains.

Apparently, this comment is too long, so go the replies for the Finale of Survivor: Best To Never Win!

While I’m not the most well-versed in Survivor, I feel like Stephen Fishbach deserves to be here.

Amazing cast. I would only switch Michaela with Ciera(blood vs water) or Carolyn(worlds apart) and Ian sinse he doesn't want to play again with someone like Joe(worlds apart) or Rob C. (Amazon)

Amanda Kimmel should have been on here for sure

So according to Survivor curses we already know that Colby doesn't win because he appears first in this intro

I would say almost everyone here either has already had more than enough bites of the apple, isn’t that good to begin with, and/or has been out of the game too long to get back into it. The only ones who generated any real excitement for me were Rick and Dominick. (Devon was robbed but I’d rather see Chrissy represent what should have been that Final 3.) And I suspect they’d both end up like Yau Man or Rob C: having played wonderful games and come up just short the first time, but unable to get off the ground the second.

How did you miss out Amanda? Big mistake!

Coach, Abi, and Candace don’t belong on this list.

Replace Coach with Rob C. (Amazon) or Sean Rector (Marquesas), Abi with Elisabeth (Australian Outback), and Candace with Taj (Tocatins).

I think Terry Dietz should be here, but otherwise great cast

not including amanda, the first person to make back to back ftc, is kinda ridiculous and like a MASSIVE oversight😂 especially when you have people like abi-maria on here

Why is Ian in the list? He literally gave up his spot in the Finals.
