This is a great example of why to do whatever work on your vehicle that you can. No garage will take the time and care for your vehicle that you will

Great video! Thanks. I've been contemplating this AEV snorkel for my 23 JTR. You boosted my confidence in doing this. :)

I love my AEV snorkel on my Jeep as well. Its quality is outstanding.

I recently learned the key to clean looking RTV - coat your finger (preferably wearing a glove) with rubbing alcohol. Really helps smooth out the gunk without sticking to your finger.

My JLUR had a afE cold air intake installed by the previous owner. After doing some research I found out that you don't get any performance gains out of it and that the actual "cold air" is bullshit as you get the same kind of air as an OEM air box. And it has no cover at all so it's pretty much a magnet for water/mud. I had an Amazon cheapo ARB knock off snorkel on my JK and it did wonders during monsoon season here in Arizona. I don't want to install a cheap snorkel on my JL so I ordered an OEM airbox and I might get an AEV snorkel.

You certainly took a departure from your previous videos and series as it pertains to your production; i.e. detailed instruction, useful camera angles, verbal narration, etc. You are doing a great job! I feel as if I could just watch your videos if I ever wanted to accomplish the same thing with my rig. Nice work!

One quick addition i found super helpful is some rubber in the gap between the fender and the side of the body. You can also so the same between the rock rails and the body. It will stop all the small stones collecting. I used some Moroday 6mm (for fenders) & 9mm (for rock rails) Round Rubber Sponge from Bunnings to do thejob.

Excellent how to Dan!
I’m surprised Jeep doesn’t offer this as a factory option.

You’re braver than me. My 1st check would have been with FCA to make sure they had a Rubicon hood in their spare parts inventory!

Love it. The pre filter is definitely a great added feature for red dusty roads Good job Dan

Ok, that was pretty cool. I guess you engineers can build some stuff.
I just had to chuckle when you said they gave attention to detail about the plans you had to print out. Wouldn't the attention have been better if they saved you all that trouble and just included a template?!

I would've installed the ram air tip of the snorkel backwards. That would filter out more dust by using the inertia of dust to make it less of it reverse direction and get sucked in.
