Stop Listening to the “Experts”; TRAIN ABS

For the last two competition seasons, I listened, knowing better to the wrong people, telling me not to worry about training abs for the stage. The end result, my midsection has not looked as good as in years past.
In fact, I now attribute some of the small folds of skin, especially in my lower abs, to not properly conditioning my abs.
At 15 weeks out, I am training abs 4x - 5x weekly, and can already see a huge difference from the last three shows. There is not as much lose skin, from aging and the skin naturally losing elasticity as we grow older.
Bottom line, treat your abs like any other muscle group. You cannot totally depend on conditioning for sharp abs, obliques, and intercostals.
