If customer service will be a big part of your job duties, emphasize the fostering of loyal customers, for example. Including metrics, such as the number of hairstyles, is important.

Hair color takes knowledge of chemistry, color theory, and dermatology. So much goes into being good at hair color. I went into physical sciences, and friend went into hair. We downplay the technical knowledge they learn in school.
