Restarting the TV with the long hold on the power button did it for me. Before that it showed no wifi channels to choose from. Great video.

Tony, all our devices were connected and functioning but the Sony tv in the bedroom would not hold the connection or it would say try again. As a last resort I went to youtube and saw your post. I tried holding the on and off button on the remote down for the tv to cycle off and on, than I went to wifi setting and cycled it off and on a couple times lol. Bingo, thank you so much. It had been 24 hours of a dead tv in the bedroom, thanks again.

Current bug with the tvs. About once a day the wifi setting turns off and stays off until a complete tv reset is done. After the latest VRR update I have to restart the TV daily. Hope it gets fixed.

We've tried multiple times to connect a SonyX80K to our wifi network. The rep at Best Buy said it doesn't matter that our modem and router is at the other end of the house and not next to our TV.
The TV picks up the SSID name (wifi network name) but it won't successfully connect. Help!!!!

I ended up here when Google TV indicated "Connected" but Google Home was stuck on "Connecting to Wifi".
I needed to disable the VPN on my phone before it was able to find the TV.
