Yeah nah, Cerci committed political suicide when blew up what was essentially the Vatican and Pope of Westeros. She didn't just kill the Tyrells but countless other nobles who happened to attended the trial. Their extended families would want blood, not to mention a good chunk of the 7 Kingdoms were Targaryen loyalist. They could have had Cerci go mad and paranoid while being isolated in Kingslanding kinda like a female version of Macbeth that would have aligned more with the shows themes. But D&D wanted to keep her as the big bad of the show.
