The Lost POV of House Tyrell

A Song of Ice & Fire features many Houses and POVs, yet one remains mysteriously absent... but... was it always this way? Join me on a journey as we travel deep, DEEP into the Five Year Gap, in an archaeological exploration for the hidden LOST POV OF HOUSE TYRELL.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:

Special thanks to Elio and Linda for maintaining the So Spake Martin archive, as well as the old ASOIAF Yuku, without which, portions of the fandom would be lost to time forever.

Maps used were from "The Lands of Ice and Fire" available on amazon, bookstores, or The World of Ice and Fire App, which you can find on Google Play and itunes. It's like five bucks, and well worth it for the beautiful illustrations of Jonathan Roberts.

And Special Thanks to everyone for subscribing and liking from the previous video, I never expected it to receive such fanfare.

SOURCES:

(also of note I altered the timing of when James speaks in the final clip so GRRM would have the last word for dramatic effect)

There's one image used by Ted Nasmith from The World of Ice and Fire of Sunspear, coloring was altered for sunset aesthetic.

APOLOGIES TO:

-The wonderful municipal division of Sherman Oaks and the great people of California.
-The entire population of Great Britain for, ahem, “taking the micky.” It's okay, I will always love you.
-Germans everywhere for a really bad accent that's not attempting to imitate any specific dialect.
-Bryan Cogman who got his laptop back from the Santa Fe airport really quickly, don't worry about it. We all make silly mistakes.
-George RR Martin, for the voice which… I'm not trying to accurately imitate at all.

For a dude with two videos this quality and content is solid. Nice to see some meta talk about the books instead of the tin foil conspiracies most channels do. Which I still love but this is great.

The Tyrells in general are the most interesting house that nobody seems to talk about. I find both Willas and Garlan to be fascinating characters (and potential foils for one another) and would love for them to have far more time on-screen. Even Mace is interesting in his own way, as a haughty buffoon.

Margery Tyrell and the Blackfish should have gotten POVs.

Blackfish during the war with Rob Stark and during the seige of Riverrun. Plus imagine him getting POV when he finds out about the Red Wedding.

Margery during a Feast for Crows. Plenty of Jamie and Cersei in King's Landing chapters. Would have been cool to get a different perspective.

On blood Oranges, I didn't realise they were a symbolism for house Martell, so I google to know more about them:

-The blood orange is a natural mutation of the orange, which is itself a hybrid (Interesting, Martell are Rhoynar and Valyrian in part, also a little bit of Andal if I'm not mistaken)
-They have a distinctive dark flesh color
- He flesh develops its characteristic maroon color when the fruit develops with low temperatures during the night... mmm this gives me long night vibes, but I think it doesn't meant anything.
- The skin can be tougher and harder to peel than that of other oranges. Martell are un-conquered
- Blood oranges have a unique flavor compared to other oranges. Martell have definitely a diffrent style, so yes I like it.

Your speech pattern and intonation reminds me of Mr. Plinkett at times. I typed that and THEN I saw the actual Plinkett impersonation.

This is so obscure, and I'm kinda confused, but also so in depth, I really like this.

I like to think that Turnip, like Arya, is a girl pretending to be a boy in a feudal society, in a plotline we will never know about and is unrelated to anything we've heard about. The appendix is the only hint at it.
