I just bought the 80 box set of mecha paints. This is very informative, you should reshoot it with voice and explanation … Thankyou!

You are knocking it out the park with these brilliant short, but very informative videos Don - cheers! PS - I hit the like button as we were mixing the thinning sauce.

I find it quite interesting the almost complete opposite ratios (as far as thinner and flow improver) another vallejo painter used with these paints, on a vallejo sponsored video. Example, dark red and red used a ratio of 5 drops flow improver and 2 drops thinner to 10 drops of paint. Using a .2 needle and 15 ish psi. I've found these paints tend to cause dry tip for me unless I use at least a 2:1 ratio of paint to thinner. I'll use this info either way, thank you!

Amazing video, for clarity when you say 3:1 paint to thinning sauce, does that mean 3 drops paint, 2 drops thinner 1 drop flow improver? So if I premix my thinning sauce in a bottle it would be 1:1 with paint essentially?

this is a huge resource for Vallejo i think the biggest complaint about the paint is it clogs super easy and every 2 minutes youre cleaning your brush to unclog it

Great video kabayan! Saving this one offline lol.

Would you happen to know the thinning ratio for metallic mecha vallejo gold? TIA!

Does this require primer if you want a decent durable finish?

For Model Air the same ratio Sauce/color like Meca?

Another fantastic and educational video!!!! Please allow me a question : The vallejo bottles has 17ml of color but are bottles for 20ml, can we put the other 3 ml remaining of your “sauce” inside the mecha and model air and keep them pre mixed and ready for airbrushing ? Can this cause any unwanted behavior of the color by time ?

Great video! Very instructive. Is it okay to leave the Thinning Sauce too long in the mixing bottle? 15 days, for example.

Thanks for this. Started using Mecha and was a bit too thin

Would mixing in the airbrush cause clogging? Would it be better to mix in a dish first? Thanks!!

Can these same mixing amts be used for hand brushing? What kind of thinning sauce is preferred for hand brushing?

I'm a newbie in airbrushing model, and I'm about to practice using Vallejo. A pro recommended your channel to me, and I must say it's really helpful for a beginner like me, your tips and tricks are so good, and your vid just go straight to the points! Just want to say thank you and also I have a question: I just discovered your channel, and I don't know if you have done this in a separate vid or such, but how do I thin Vallejo Model Air, or Game Air? or even just Model Color, or Game Color? What are the ratio of these variations of Vallejo with your "Thinning Sauce" lol. If you could reply to me, or give a link to a vid of your that help me with this it would be great! Thank you so much, gonna keep learning a lot from you!

Hi, may you explicit the differences between vallejo model air, game air, and mecha color (for airbrush painting) or mecha vs model primer (for airbrush priming), except the obvious colors shifts. thanks

Is it okay if I mix little bit of model air with mecha colors, And will it affect on the durability?
