My amp goes into protection mode when I plug in the groundwire does that mean I don't have a good connection or need a stronger wire?

I can shut my vehicle all the way off in my stereo stays on for about 20 minutes but my amplifier shuts off the second I turn my vehicle off how can I keep them both on.

I'm having the same issue. I'm running a JL 1800 watt amp and (2) JL 10w1. The subs are wired to 1 ohm. The subs are 300 watts rms I believe. Could it be the amp is too powerful for the subs? I've done the big 3 upgrade and a kinetik 1800 pro up front. Was thinking about switching subs to a sub that's 500 watts rms

Same problem. Can upgrading the alternator by 100 amps mess up my stock battery or do I have to upgrade that also when upgrading the alternator?

I wound check stero harness for loose wires...same thing happened to be now its good.

I have a 2500w quantum audio 12 inch running it on a 1500w crunch amp it shuts off after a few minutes and I noticed the amp gets really hot is the subwoofer possibly just too much for it?

Bros after doing a complete checklist changing harness changing power wire resending relocating grounds changing fittings on power all that to find out that if you mounting amp directly to the back of your factory seats can cause amp to cut out

either it is a two-channel regular A/B amplifier or you don't have enough power add a battery or check connections

I have a question I hope this is were you post.This is what I have:All wet sound products. (1) REV 410 speaker.(4) swivel REV 10 (4) 650 RGB speakers.(1) 10 FA sub.(1) SD 6 Chanel amp.(1) SD 2 Chanel amp.(1) HTX 4 Chanel amp. (1) Wet sound RGB controller (1) 120 amp disconnect switch.(1) distrabution block. All seems to work but my SD 6 AMP for the tower tower speakers that controls the first two items on list. This has been installed less that two weeks ago and all was working. Now the second time I turned it on the towers speakers and they are not working. Checked the 12 VDC power to the SD 6 amp and it good, then checked the negitve ground and it good, checked the AMP start from ken wool deck and there is 11.6 volts. The other two amps are on and working fine powering up and worked fine. When testing the power I turned the boat key on again and for one second the amp light turned on blue then went dead again. Could I have a bad wet sound amp? Power was tested by my multi meter.

Heat is also a possibility unless it is an instant shut off as soon as you hit a number on the stereo.

I'm running a 10" Rockford P3 1000watt and a SPL 600watt amp.
my amp cuts off all the time. what could be the problem
