My favorite depiction of the Ties were the ones in Andor. Specifically from the Heist episodes, they used the sudden thunder of their thrusters as they blasted over those mountains.

Had me and the whole cast scared or like 1 or two Tie Fighters. Kept that whole village in check too. I really hope the second season continues that really solid Imperial Military portrayal.

I like the mandalorian series a lot but the way the plot kills the villains is awful like those ties could have just stayed above the canyon?

Wedge Antilles, known as TIE SS-2-5 during his time at Skystrike Academy, was a renowned human male starfighter pilot from Corellia who first served in the Imperial Navy as a TIE fighter pilot until defecting to join the rebellion. So you see, Tie Fighter pilots where actually very skilled… yet here they make them seem as if they were unreliable and lacking skill, when they were actually not.

In total, Mando shot down three TIE fighters in 16 episodes of this show (destroyed Gideon's differently).
In the battle of Crait (TLJ) Rey shot down three with one shot, her very first shot in the Falcon's gunner seat. She shot down 5 more within the following 25 seconds (2 of them with one shot).
Rey destroyed twice the number of TIEs in 30 seconds as were destroyed by Mando in 2 seasons of the Mandalorian.

Although I enjoy Star Wars, the fact that the tie fighter is the pinnacle of enemy flying fighter technology, wouldn’t it have missile technology or perhaps stealth modes ? They do tend to miss quite a lot when shooting with those lasers
