💢 Σήμερα ξεκινάμε από το Μυστρά για να πάμε για φαγητό στο Παρόρι.
Αλλά πριν ας πούμε δυο λόγια για το Μυστρά. Η καστροπολιτεία του Μυστρά είναι το πιο σημαντικό Βυζαντινό μνημείο στην Ελλάδα. Αποτελεί πολύτιμη πηγή για τη γνώση της ιστορίας, της τέχνης και του πολιτισμού των δύο τελευταίων αιώνων του Βυζαντίου. Ο Μυστράς υπήρξε πρωτεύουσα του Δεσποτάτου του Μωρέως, αλλά συνέχισε να είναι σημαντική πόλη και στους επόμενους αιώνες.
Μετά το 1830 ιδρύθηκε η Νέα πόλη της Σπάρτης και τότε ο Μυστράς εγκαταλείφθηκε από τους περισσότερους κατοίκους του. Η εγκατάλειψη και ο μαρασμός του Μυστρά και των γύρω χωριών τραγουδήθηκε με τους παρακάτω στίχους:
"Παρόρι με τα κρύα νερά και Αγιάννη με τα άνθη
και εσύ περήφανε Μυστρά, σας μάρανε η Σπάρτη".
Το Παρόρι έχει 320 κατοίκους.
💢 Today we start from Mystras to go to a tavern in Parori.
But before let's say a few words about Mystras. The castle-state of Mystras is the most important Byzantine monument in Greece. It is a valuable source for the knowledge of the history, art and culture of the last two centuries of Byzantium. Mystras was the capital of the Despotate of Moreas, but continued to be an important city in the following centuries.
After 1830 the New city of Sparta was founded, and then Mystras was abandoned by most of its inhabitants. The abandonment and withering of Mystras and the surrounding villages were sung with the following verses:
"Parori with the cold waters and Aghiannis with the flowers
and you, proud Mystras, you were faded by Sparta".
Parori has 320 inhabitants.
