He's right. I prefer traveling alone as when I travel with someone, it always seems to be a challenge making agreements on where to go and what to do. Mix it up, meet people and be free doing it. If you have never done it, do it. It will force you to grow for sure. However, I'm an introvert so it's much easier. I prefer talking to the locals on wherever I go to get to know their culture as I really don't hang out with travelers too much but it always happens anyway!!

I'm 22 and want to travel the world before I start a career and get responsibilities. The only issue is I don't have a partner for traveling. So Traveling solo could be an idea. I'd have to get out of my comfort zone as I can also feel shy at times. I'd love to hear any experiences from people here who traveled by themselves. :)

On my solo motorcycle ride, people saw me in a different manner, I just popped up a friendly smile and people popped up and talked to me and as the conversation begun, some took me to the less explored places in their city and some joined me for a cup of tea and it was some really fun thing

Helps to be extroverted when travelling. You, my friend, will never be lonely anywhere. I've inherited my mother's skill of talking to anyone, anywhere which is funny because many folks. think I'm a loner. The trick is simply to enjoy people & not worry about the occasional negative reactions. You will never see them again so be carefree but polite.

right. travelling alone doesnt meant we're lonely. i do it all the time but kind of scared bec of my PTSD. however so far so good. i try to be friends esp the locals/guides they have the best company. i keep on coming back nec of them. i only travel the central visayan islands of the philippines tho bec of work and budget. i currently live here in Cebu. hope you visit here!

Great video, Jorden. Makes me wish i were decades younger! When i was your age-ish i did a lot of solo traveling. I was out of my comfort zone....but got comfortable. And got good (well...better) at not being so afraid of strangers. So....thanks! I know there are younger folks who will benefit from your encouragement. If we'd all just learn to enjoy each other, peace might just break out!! (food helps....;)

Th hardest part for me when meeting people hen i travel is i don't drink and i don't like to be around when other people are drinking. i find it to be a huge set back for meeting people almost anywhere.
