Why they gonna do Jay like that? He was comic relief, but never really a bad student. The first of the 4 to learn Spinjitzu, and got the hang of airjitzu if I recall correctly. After skybound, they did my man dirty.

Wasn’t there a post by one of the ninjago writers that said how much power jay could use with his lightning?
It WAS a lot…a lot of people think jay is the weakest. He isn’t. He’s holding back. I think if he were to use his powers to the fullest, they could kill someone. He’s just holding back too much, as he doesn’t want to kill anyone. Maybe kalmaar in seabound, but he was blinded by anger and probably couldn’t make his powers go full on, but also couldn’t control them well in that moment? And was probably still weak I guess? Feel free to argue. Here’s my list of the ninjas and how powerful they are in my opinion.
1: Lloyd. Obviously.
2: Zane. He’s a nindroid, and can withstand a lot, and can calculate. Plus his powers are pretty useful for stopping enemies without hurting them.
3: jay. He doesn’t seem to have much physical power, but his powers are like I said before, powerful. I mean, he can withstand lightning bolts from storms. Maybe Lloyd might be able to somehow, but I don’t think anyone else can really do that.
4: Cole, Kai, and Nya. Not sure how to rank these in order. Kai has a LOT of power, but it’s usually when he’s really angry. Cole has a ton of physical power(he is the STRONGEST ninja, Lloyd is most POWERFUL.) and Nya raised a whole ocean and destroyed a realm(it was her true potential but still impressive)

I like to think that although Lloyd is canonically the most powerful being in Ninjago by a long shot, the gap betwenn Jay and post-S2 Lloyd is now tiny, if not nonexistent.
