UNEMBEZA BOUTIQUE LODGE & SPA IS SITUATED ON THE GREENBELT OF THE HOEDSPRUIT WILDLIFE ESTATE AND CATERS FOR THE CONSCIOUS TRAVELER LOOKING TO CONNECT WITH NATURE.
Unembeza opened its doors in July 2016 with 12 beds and 5 staff members. Extreme dedication, unbelievable staff and our amazing food made Unembeza the most talked about new lodge in Hoedspruit. Due to increased demand for availability we expanded with a Private Family Villa in April 2017, our Deluxe Garden Suites in September 2017, Villa Mbali in August 2018 and most recently the stunning Mhlabeni Boutique Villa. We are proud to say that we now employ 55 staff members and our lodge can sleep a maximum of 55 guests.

In the Zulu culture to have unembeza (conscious) is the highest act of a virtuous person. In fact, in the Zulu language unembeza is such a strong concept that it goes even beyond just wrong and right, its the very essence of humanity. It is not just a subjective agent which is sometimes the key criticism of the Western understanding of conscience. The absence of unembeza is in fact an absence of the fundamental principle that makes a person a person. We try to live this in our day to day operations through respect for people and environment.

Whether staying in our lodge or one of our villas, you can be assured of a carefully curated stay, with a focus on personal attention, helping you connect to this wonderful part of the world. Our eco-friendly ethos is one of respect for nature and her bounty, which you can enjoy from the privacy of your room, our pools, viewing decks, bomas, lounge areas or spa.
OUR SERVICES
Your comfort is our priority. We offer a full range of hospitality services that includes dinner, bed and breakfast, assistance booking activities, laundry and transfer services, an onsite spa and complimentary WiFi throughout the lodge.
From here you can visit the Panorama Route but exploring the Kruger Park (day visit) is very possible.
