Hi there Travel lover!

“With Elle” here and in this video you travel with me for a weekend away at the Unembeza boutique Lodge and Spa, situated on the Greenbelt of the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate and caters for the conscious traveller looking to connect with nature. And that is exactly what my husband and I wanted to do, connect with nature, relax and unwind with some unbelievable food.

Staying in Johannesburg the trip there was about a 5 hour drive, which is perfect for a long weekend getaway, for us Gauteng residents. But a visit from anywhere in the world will be worth the trip!

I loved the facilities of this quaint and beautiful boutique lodge that sleeps 35 guests.
We lazed by the cool large swimming pool, had sundowners as we gazed at the surroundings from the raised viewing deck, before indulging in the most delicious 4 course meal from their fully licenced restaurant. Where you can casually walk past the kitchen greet the chefs and smells the aroma of freshly prepared food. After dinner we sat by the open fire place star gazing into the night sky.

A 3 course breakfast and coffee that is locally roasted awaits you to start the day, after a restful nights sleep in a beautifully decorated room and comfortable white linen bed. Another dip in the pool you can book a variety of relaxing spa treatments at the Unembeza bush spa. Once pampered if you have the energy you can book a variety of activities to get in touch with nature, like horseback Safari, Kruger National Park Safari, mountain bike rentals, Nyani cultural village experience and a visit to the Blyde River Canyon, one of the world’s largest green canyons.

Or you can stay in at Unembeza enjoying the sights and sounds and use complimentary high speed wifi, just to post an image or two of your getaway! The staff at Unembeza are so friendly and helpful, it really just puts a smile on your face.
