Truck drivers are poorly paid for what we put up with and the time we spend in truck

shortage of drivers ???😂
Shortage of pay is one of the problem, no parking, no respect to the driver, to many regulations

This reporting is false. The trucking jobs are not high paying and there is no shortage of drivers.

Good companies are hard to find, you are subject to dispatchers that will push you to break the law (if you don’t you are punished), you get abused by DOT.

This is a straight up lie that’s told over and over, ask any trucker, or trucking company employee or owner, they will tell you there’s so many drivers out here needing work, that none of it pays enough to even break even LOL

The most over regulated industry in the world, i used to drive my own truck and loved it but i would never do it again

Countless companies have had to lay off drivers, downsize, there’s SO MANY drivers that the rates have been driven down so low for operators and carriers just so they can get a load to the point many are driving under operating costs!!!

I have held a truck license for twenty-six years- the problem is the pay has not kept up to balance out with the amount of crap you have to put up with.

Road's and City are NOT 18 Wheeler friendly ...
Round abouts ....
Narrow roads ....
Poorly marked bridge's ..
Cop's itching to wright tickets ....
Company's treat drivers like 💩 the truck should never stop rolling .
A driver is hardly ever "home"
And people wonder why people don't want to sit 18+ hour's behind a steering wheel or get a CDL,

There is no truck driver shortage….
I own a trucking company and I can tell you right now rates are in the toilet and companies are going out of business because there’s not enough freight.
If there’s not enough freight there possibly be a shortage of drivers.

There is a shortage of people not willing to do a shitty job for shitty pay under shitty conditions.

Some of these companies want way more from the driver than they will pay. Consider the hours away from home.

I don’t believe there is a shortage guys. I’m a truck driver. If there was a shortage why are independent owner operators not more profitable???

If there was a shortage then the rates would be better for the independents right???

Trucking companies expect you run for weeks & weeks, out from home.
Then when you get home, they act like they’ll go broke because you took more than 34 hours off.
Turn & burn… till you burn out. Then they complain, nobody wants to work. 🤨

No shortage of drivers, only a parking shortage

There is not a driver shortage. Freight is slow due to low demand.
