As a veteran, I noticed BlackRock handles our retirement accounts (TSP - Thrift Savings Plan). This is the same for all federal employees (post office workers, FBI, CIA, etc.). I always wondered how my returns were so good (even in 2022 my TSP miraculously made money while the entire market was down). It's because BlackRock has enough clout (assets under management) to move markets.

I think corrupting power of organizations like Blackrock; State Street & Vanguard are the biggest issues in the world today, and their for most of the US & world problems, esp legal corruption in politics & war (extremely profitable).
